What are you talking about? TFA hasn't even had its third weekend yet. I'm saying when it does, it will easily beat the £10.45m that Skyfall made in its third weekend. We're not talking about this weekend just gone.

Oh yeah, sorry - I was thinking the weekend just gone was TFA's third weekend! It's made so much money, it doesn't seem like it's only had 2 weekends! :)

If yesterday was £6.4m, wouldn't that make the total cume £67m? Otherwise £1m's gone missing somewhere :P

It'd be around 66.5m, we'll need Alfred or rth to confirm.

A 12% INCREASE from last week, the madness continues!

Passed Jurassic World today as well I think, after only 11 days of business.

I wonder who will finish with a higher USD amount per person between the US, UK and Australia. I believe the US is slightly ahead at the moment.

I think UK is leading the globe by tickets sold/populations ratio. SW needs to hit 1 billion in the US to match that. £110m is the floor in the UK at this point.

As of right now the US is ahead. If TFA is at $108 million through Monday in the UK and $572 million in the US (Deadline just reported Monday estimates at $31.5 million) then the UK is at $1.68 per person while the US is at $1.77 per person. Also Australia is at $1.66 per person.

**All figures in US dollars and estimated December population figures**

£6.5m would mean its second Monday is down only 10% from OD  minus midnights. This is truly unprecedented.

Today and Wednesday will probably be a bit lower than Monday as it was a bank holiday yesterday and some people are back at work.

Should be around £86-87m by Thursday, which puts £100m a small possibility by Sunday. AFTER ITS THIRD WEEKEND!! It will be passed £97m by that point for sure, though.

£120m is the absolute floor, imo, but it would need to collapse for that to happen. Right now I see this landing around £135-140m. I can't believe these numbers.

Someone needs to update the wikipedia page for highest grossing films in the UK. Problem is, I can't find any official sources (newspaper websites etc) which give TFA's gross in pounds.

We always knew that US and UK would be the strongest markets, but the numbers its doing in both regions is just astounding.  It's easily going to be number one of all time in the UK, question is when does it get there and what will the final total be?

Number one of all time will be sometime early next week, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. Absolute lowest I can see is £120m ($180m), though that is unlikely. Highest right now would be £150m, though that is also an extreme. That would be around $220m. At the height of the pound, $300m would have been the high range.

Lets let's take the middle ground and say it stops at $200m.

These numbers are nuts. Cinemas must be operating at practically peak capacity right now (11 days into its run)

$200m here we come! To me, that feels every bit as unprecedented and unbelievable as $1bn in the US. My friends and I will contributing another £100 ($150) tomorrow with our 4 IMAX tickets.

Unfortunately admissions in the UK aren't really tracked, we rarely get data on it.

However, Lumiere tracks admissions for films in European countries. According to them, Skyfall's admissions were 16.15m, DH2 12.06m, Avatar 16.5m and Titanic 18.9m. It seems strange that Avatar, having grossed £8m less than Skyfall and having 3D would have more admissions, but there's a lot to take into account like 3D shares and premiums, as well as share of adults/kids, as kids tickets are cheaper etc etc.

Obviously we have no clue what kind of 3D share or adult-child ratio SW is having, but I'm sure its admissions will be somewhere in the 15-20m range by the end of its run.
