Went to see Isle of Dogs today, the one showing at my theater today was about 90% full, or rather about 110 out of roughly 120. Looking like a fantastic opening, depending on how limited the release is (my 8-screen theater got it, so can't be that limited).

My theater is pointing towards a £1.5m opening, which would be amazing for this (much bigger than U.S. in comparison). The alternative is that my theater just massively overperformed.

love simon only made 1.6M... there goes my hope for it breaking out OS

Well, Love, Simon has made $18.8M from the United States in revenue so far. Overseas it has made $2.2M in revenue (based on average of 40%) It also still has so many markets to open in including France (27/6/18), Germany (28/6/18) and Spain (29/7/18). This film is a stepping stone to more LGBT films being made and will probably do much better on the ancillary market where people can watch it in the comfort of their own home.

I think paid previews get counted, but not unlimited ones.

Why wouldn't unlimited previews count? Unlimited tickets count towards every other movie, I'm sure the same is true for the previews. I just meant its interesting that you have a clear figure from "private" previews which we don't usually see.

Because it's probably something that comes out of a studio ad budget more than anything else. I dunno, I'm not in the biz, but given how the number of people that went to the Love Simon unlimited screening, I can imagine it hasn't been counted as part of the gross to date.

Just booked ticket to see Rampage opening night on thursday :) Was going to wait, but Odeon are doing a sweet deal to get a free poster :D

Didn't fancy the 3d preview on wednesday as I don't want to pay for 3D lol (Unless it's IMAX)

A Quiet Place increased 5% in its 2nd weekend. Excellent result considering it already had a big opening.

Perhaps a strong Friday 13th effect? My theater was rather busy when I went to see it. (It was really cool and different btw)

Grease is doing extraordinarily well, seems to be selling out nearly every single showing wherever I look. Wonder what the box office take is gonna look like. Shame it won't be on the weekend list as it's on a Thursday.
