Buzz in this new movie basically looks like a generic cop/Republican/antivaxxer in his physique and facial appearance. I think it's funnier to recognize him as a realistic Joe from Family Guy but that's just me.

I think it's meant to be a reference to the actual Buzz Lightyear of Star Command TV show, even though that has absolutely nothing in common with the plot of this movie except for Zurgs yellow robot army.
