@Porthos I just realized that there’s a better than zero chance you’ll have to track JWD, Lightyear, L&T, Rise of Gru and perhaps Elvis; all at the same time.

I'll take that bet.

Has anyone else noticed ticket price increases and/or super high variable pricing for Doctor Strange at Regal? I know for Batman they did a flat $1 increase for the variable prices. A regular 2D 7:15PM Doctor Strange showing is $15 now, while Secrets of Dumbledore at 7:15PM today is $13.49. So they're either doing a higher increase for variable pricing, or prices are increasing across the board soon. At least in the Denver area.

Elvis appeals to the older crowd and is big for them. I’d be shocked if it opened under 20m.

The older crowd that cared about Elvis died about 10-15 years ago.

Just checked 5 of my theaters and all of the DS2 prices are at least $1 more than an equivalent SoD ticket today.

My Cinemark is $2 higher for Dr Strange than what FB3 is.  $16.75 vs $14.75 at one and $14.75 vs $12.75 at the other.  The Batman was priced at $15.75 and $13.75, respectively..

It's getting to the point I may pass on Dr Strange (or plan for a Tuesday, if they are still cheap) unless it's really, really, really good b/c $2/ticket on 7 tickets adds up, when the prices are already high and I only get so many Cinemark subscriber credits/month (and Top Gun 2 is the same month)...

The above is from my count for The Batman (counting for True OD Friday). I just did a count of this one location and FWIW, DS2 is already within 80% of the this total....

The Bad Guys Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 and Counting

Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold
TOTALS 0 40 70 5647 1.24%

Comp

0.424x of Boss Baby 2 T-3 (556K)

0.391x of Jungle Cruise T-3 (1.06M)

1.707x of Addams Family 2 T-3 (939K)

5.000x of Ron's Gone Wrong (1.2M)

0.414x of Encanto (621K)

It's a bit all over the place, and all the comps go into weird and wild directions by the end of their run. But this seems fairly solid, considering that this isn't a film that will make much in previews anyways. Addams Family 2 did 31.5x its previews for instance, while Ron's Gone Wrong did 30.4x its previews.

The Northman Greater Philadelphia Seat Report T-3 and Counting

0.247x of Dune T-3 (1.26M)

3.600x of Ambulance T-3 (2.52M)

I mean yeah, the 3M previews are pretty awesome, but my pessimistic side is going to Dune, only because Northman's doing hella crazy business in Dolby and I don't want to get people's hopes up. BTW I didn't track The Green Knight, so that's why I don't have that comp.

Try Lost City.

But that had Early access, but I think final comp will make sense.
