Going great with 2.8K added in 3 days, last two days being 1k. Need target is to hit 30K by T-3 days. Not like it need to but will be great.

Why is 3D low? Does 3d not entice viewers in west anymore..... In India 3D still has relevancy.

Can't speak for other countries but here in America it's just seen as a gimmick that doesn't really enhance your theater experience. People have soured on it since 2009/2010. I do think it depends on the film though.

3D sales aren't really big either at the theater I'm tracking right now for Multiverse of Madness, even though it has the most 3D showtimes we've seen in years. Everyone is in on Dolby and IMAX here.

I'm really curious how Avatar 2 will do in 3D sales. That is one of the only films I can say that used the 3D tech properly.

Didn't James Cameron developed some new technology for Avatar 2?

And if 3d is dead in US then i think

it'll be same for Avatar 2 too.

I think he did but like I said it depends on the movie here. Avatar 2 might be the exception here as it was in 2009. People aren't in a rush to see Marvel films in 3D and most films. It was a quick fad. But who knows, after Avatar 2, the trend might pick up again.

3d was not invented only in 2009, there was some 3d craze too in 1950s but died down afterward but avatar revitalise the entire tech again before it dies down(again).  I will rather 3d stay dead until avatar 2 so that there will be novelty factor or uniqueness for avatar 2 as an event movie. If 3d stay common and relevant throughout, avatar 2 will be pretty much just another 3d movie but now it can be sold as 3d event once in a decade.

I remember watching DS in 3D back in 2016. There were parts the 3D feel amazing but there was some really headache inducing scenes. From the trailer itself, I don't think i like to try 3D again this round.

30 years and still selling..... If I'm not wrong it along with Jaws were top movies during 2020 period where old movies were re-released.

What a legendary movie.

The new trailer for The Black Phone says it's going to be playing Dolby Cinema at the end, same weekend Elvis is apparently also set to be shown in the format. Assume it'll be a Sonic 2/Ambulance situation where Elvis gets those screens for most of the day with The Black Phone as the last show since that's when their respective target audiences are most likely to show up.

That and it's much shorter than Elvis.
