Hoping that Violent Night can get over $10m for the weekend. 

Compared to the Cineworld's near me, base 2D price is the same as all the other big blockbusters this year. BUT, IMAX especially is commanding the extra fee for 3D which is another £1.50ish in Crawley, £2 in Leicester Square. Most 4DX movies are generally 3D so it's the same price as Black Panther et all.

After a week of sales, starting to get a bit interesting. The popular PLFs - IMAX and especially Dolby - are getting pretty full, so not all that much room left for growth for Thursday (at least before 11pm, where sales are weak), and the PLF 3D share will likely drop below 50% fairly soon (though overall PLF still accounts for 2/3 of sales). So what are people buying instead?

 

A good weekend for standard 3D vs 2D, but interestingly that was driven mostly by the less busy (and non-PLF) theaters picking up steam, and not from people "settling" for 3D shows at the PLF locations, where instead PLF demand looks to be rolling forward into the weekend. Could just more on-the-spot advance sales over the higher foot traffic weekend, or advertising creating more GA awareness, but will see if that continues at next update.

 

One other tidbit: at least in this market, sales look to be very couple (2 seat) heavy, with far fewer single or group (family) purchases. Don't know what that means (yet), but though it was worth mentioning

Tampa/St Pete T-14 Update

Not really much to add, sales keep plugging along. PLF 3D did finally dip below 50%, but overall PLFs still making up 2/3rd of all Thursday sales. Expect both of those numbers to continue to reduce up until debut, as there just aren't that many seats left, so 3D and 2D will get spillover and grow more

 

Figured this was a better format than pie chart to show changes over time

 

But now that we've reached T-14, time to dust off the average chart! Some caveats first

• Does not include an potential ATP adjustments on my end, only what may already be incorporated by individual trackers
• The averages can be bouncy depending on which markets and comps are updated each day, but since the first week of sales have held relatively steady in $18-$19M range (more like $17M if you remove the clear Philly/TGM outlier, and we'll see if/how that changes once we get Alpha comps for TGM/Batman)
• LONG way to go; feel confident in saying a floor of mid-teens for Thursday is fairly well established, but with such a unique release, the ceiling is less well defined

These are showtimes, not presales. I'm guessing TC stands for theater count but might be off.

The 5023 number represents showtimes and TC stands for theatre count (meaning how many theatres it is playing in). 
 

Also as JustLurking said these numbers are not presales but showtimes and TC’s 

 

And yes they are for whole US if I am not wrong
