CoolioD1
This is a franchise where no matter how bad it gets I'll always enjoy it. even the fourth one nobody likes. it has a man's organs getting suctioned out of his asshole so still pretty good.
Taylor
Rewatched them all over the past week. 4 is pretty egregiously bad and clearly valued quick 3D shots over everything else, but the other films hold up quite well. Very excited for this.
John Marston
Is this the best horror franchise? 4 out of the 5 installments are good
Unfitclock
@John Marston I would say the scream franchise is far better but final destination movies except the fourth one are pretty good
Krissykins
Yeh Scream for me obviously. All 6 are great in my book, but I know 3 isn’t as popular. But Final Destination is very consistent too. It does have more sequels that are better than the first film, 2 and 3 are even better than 1 in my opinion.
filmlover
I hope they shake things up a bit by having someone survive and stay alive over any potential sequels. It weakens the suspense of these movies when you go in aware that everyone is doomed to meet a ridiculous end.

It's quite obvious that the Final Destination is Death. You can't escape death. When a character doesn't die or survive a movie, that just happened because it wasn't her/his time to die. The whole thing is obvious. You can't cheat death, because death always comes and nobody lives forever. The only thing that needs explanation ( imo ) is why the characters have visions and what's the point of these visions. If they're always meant to die, then what's the point other than Death itself toying with them? lol

Always found the concept behind these movies cool but their refusal to let anyone live (probably because they fear the "cop-out" label if they did so many movies in more than anything else) has always made them much more predictable than other horror franchises.
CoolioD1
the first two had characters survive. Ali Larter made it to the second one. i dunno, i'm pro killing every character. it's the fun of these movies. it's the point! Cmasterclay
Movie is gonna be a hit, still see a ton of memes about the log one.
John Marston
I would like a deeper dive into the lore. I want to know exactly who Tony Todd is and why some people can hey these visions . Maybe show Death in his actual form Edited March 10 by John Marston

I think some characters do survive but they don’t return in the next installment. Would have been a good idea to bring back Mary Elizabeth Winstead and AJ Cook for this one . Just remembered Devon Sawa was confirmed dead in the second one k believe Edited March 10 by John Marston
Taylor
They referenced AJ Cook and the surviving cop as being killed in 3 but cut the scene so canonically they're both technically still alive, or could be. MEW and the other 2 'survivors' of 3 are presumed dead from the subway crash at the end but technically unknown. Everyone else is dead. Boxofficerules
They should make the lead character be the child of AJ Cook and the cop from 2. A child that was never meant to be, that could be interesting.
Krissykins
I might be mean, but I love all of them being wiped out. And I actually think that’s one of the reasons the franchise has done so well. There’s no homework. Edited March 11 by Krissykins

The third film gets a lot of love across social media too. I can definitely see this breaking out. ❤️ Second one is iconic for the logs alone. Log scene was filmed about 2 minutes away from where I grew up. Actually on my route driving to school. I’ll tell ya, I thought about it every single day. We all did, especially whenever we were behind a logging truck.
