both good movies but imo overrarted

was a bit disappointed considering the RT score

Still will support it ofc bc of female solidarity :D

Ah, I see.

I don't like THG that much, aside from JLaw and Stanley Tucci, it was pretty okay for me. CF looks way better from trailers and TV spots so I hope it'll deliver, especially the actual game execution, which was what disappointed me the most in THG.

well imo the first half really drags but when it comes to games it picks up but the movie feels long imo

haha well as someone who's a fan of Peter Jackson that says much

Really interested in its OW. Seems like it will be frontloaded to me

Still dont see 30 mio

BTW, Leyla, I think you will love Dallas Buyers Club. Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto are both great in their roles, worthy of all the hype

I know! :D Its only on  Feb 27 here  U should write a review btw! & for 'All is lost' as well!

McConaughey is having another great year. Cant believe its the same who I called 'that dude with hot body' from Sahara & Fool's gold  :D He can actually act too lol !!

Mud wasn't released here at all btw so Im thankful DBC will be

no actually the cinematography was OK

but I really dont get why I should get to see this in IMAX (some parts of the battle was shot in the format)

Imo its not worth such price

IMAX = more money, bigger numbers!

It's the only reason, they're right :P

I did write a review for All Is Lost in RTM thread, but it's not really a review cause I basically just agreed with Spaghetti's proper review above me. Robert Redford was incredible! I'll try to put up my thoughts for DBC in its review thread. My overall opinion is that it's well-made, acting performances are top-notch all around, but for some reasons, the story didn't connect much with me, and it's somewhat unsatisfying. Still like it a lot though, I'd given it an A-. And yeah, Matthew is definitely on a roll, he was good in Mud and DBC, and looks to be killing it in Wolf of Wall Street too. I used to be neutral towards him but I'm becoming a fan.

Can't imagine weekend multiplyer less than 5.3-5.4 in this time of the year.

Currently 905k from 185 theaters reported. 10x more than Carrie (should be around 220k with 73% drop).

So 2.2-2.3 mln is the conservative projection. Might be a bit higher.

With that it could pass $12m, maybe $13m
