BestPicturePlutoNash
The Oscars ceremony was just too late for any expansion. Most of the movies opened wide in November and/or expanded in Dec. It's April. They're on demand now or streaming

Far more important than the Tuesday-Wednesday decrease is the comparison between Mondays and Wednesdays numbers as well as the Thursday drop. Personally I think more like $370m but I'm no expert and it's possible. I don't think HBO Max and continuously losing more premium screens will help at all though

Joker outgross Endgame in several markets it isn’t excatly the norm. as to why Joker was so much stronger overseas, it because the rest of the world isn’t obsessed with politics as much as the US has been for the past decade. In a lot of those countries The movie perfectly clicked with the 99 per-center and spoke to them about class inequalities on a level never heard of for a tentpole. Whereas in the US the discussion was mostly about White rage, Identity politics and so forth. Even some people that like it had to put some type of disclaimer (yeah Joaquin Phoenix was the only good thing) as if they were ashamed to just like it. 4
BruiseCruise
I'd guess joker and the batman will end up with similar amount of tickets sold domestically which is incredible when one is R rated
