So are they moving this up? I guess December 6 is technically "fall" but not a month the general public typically associates with that season

Early December (12.8) is when Searchlight released Poor Things last year (previously it was the Magazine Dreams slot before Jonathan Majors' legal troubles). La La Land and The Shape of Water also started on platform release in the first or second weekend in December. It's a good date for an awards hopeful.

Wonder if this is gonna be another Kick-Ass situation where the title results in a number of theaters not displaying promotional materials in the lobby or hallways and even censoring the title on marquees.

This movie is real? I thought it was a future meme. Amy Adams somehow agreed to this.

Disney should have really released Enchanted 2 in theaters. Probably would have been bigger than Marvels.

That would be a very low bar to cross.

She was probably confident in the director considering this is how Marielle Heller's other movies were reviewed:

I mean why wouldn’t you star in a movie called Nightbitch? That’s a way better choice than doing one of those drunk lady maybe sees a murder movies.

This reminded me of a comment I had read which said something like "In 2021, we had 2 movies which featured Amy Adams and Julianne Moore drinking wine together and somehow both of them were awful"

Yeah, no movie for adults has ever successfully opened or expanded on Christmas.

I am trying to figure out if this  serious  or a comedy.

I presumed it was a comedy ..a modern take on the early 60's Disney comedy "The Shaggy Dog" which had just this premise, maybe they are trying to do a horror movie out of it...in which case it might not be the best premise in the world.
