I can't really believe that yet, but Insidekino is predicting 1M+ for the weekend - maybe even 1,1M!!! :o

http://www.insidekino.de/News.htm

That would be 40% to 55% above AOU! And it will open above $13M.

Of course much is up to the weather now, but

The Thursday actuals (source: Blickpunkt:Film):

The new releases:

Early Man: ?k (626 – a surprisingly high number, quite good reviews) → only 30k OW predicted in the first trend
You Were Never Really Here (German film title is A Beautiful Day, don`t ask me why): 2.2k (100, very good reviews) → 15k OW predicted

The holdovers:

Jim Knopf & Lukas, der Lokomotivführer: 6.2k whole day (actuals last Thursday 4.2k whole day)
A Quiet Place: 6.1k (6.5k)

Seriously, you could see it coming with the very first trailer.

I was quite confused by the muted predictions od the other users.

Weather is so good in in the East, hopefully the estimates will stay over 1M adm tomorrow.

If rth is right onthe 250adm friday, then the total of adm is already at 475k, so 525k should be posible for sat and sun right?

I think so too, probably 300k on Saturday or a bit more and 225k or a little less on Sunday.

Literally everywhere it breaks records (OW, OD basically everywhere in Asia), True Friday in the USA, Saturday in Australia and here we worry if it is able to open to 39% of the OW record:whosad::lol: in Admissions or something like 50% in $.

But on the other hand 1M for a superhero movie (that would be above the admission count for Iron Man total:lol:) and above Captain America 1&2 (actually three times the first) and basically the same as Iron Man 2 total (1.02M admiral.)

What?? Why is all the increase with holdovers? Any holiday boost?
