Nothing surprising. Beyond Avatar or HP1, LOTR films remain to be the most attended in Germany since Titanic. Even Hobbit films sold more admissions than Endgame, something that did not happen in other Middle Earth fan countries like Spain, for example.

I would appreciate it too :).

Moonfall directed by the German God Emmerich!🤣

I still have absolutely no idea how successful this film can be here. It's released on Feb 9 (previews). E.g. in the mathäser it gets the biggest and a mid-sized cinema hall on its first day. The reservations look so-so at the moment. I guess people wait for first reactions.

By the way, Marry Me gets also Wednesday shows in Germany (and also a mid-sized cinema hall in the mathäser with so far some but not many reservations).

in fact, something like this might be in the planning (there was an extended-version-marathon planned in December which sold out two screens but was cancelled thanks to lockdown; no date yet but might come up in a few weeks)

it's not that expensive, €7,-- per movie makes 21,-- for the experience; it's been a sellout at my cinema for years, always in December, but this year was special insofar as it would have been the extended versions.

Thank you for your work

- 4,2M seems locked

- 4,4M seems like the more optimistic final

If NWH can try 4,3M this will be great

Yeah same in Italy (they were re-released in July for their 20 years), they remained on screens for only 5 days but managed to gross about 300/400k euros each

Thanks to no big openers, healthy holds or even increases (for family fare). Licorice Pizza had an ok opening with the PTA I had hoped for for last week's Nightmare Alley … House of Gucci has now crossed 1mil admissions and had an excellent hold once more, real leggy run!

Next weekend: A new family release, Around the World in 80 days, should lead to some steeper drops in that market, while domestic drama Wunderschön should make it well into the 6 digits.
