Week trend: massive 2,45-2,65 adm. Legs are kicking in, finally.

I wanted to read up on that a bit more in depth, where did you read that (maybe I am blind, I've read so much the last few days, my eyes might start to get cross eyed :D ) ?

Remember, it's for the whole week. And I think it's credible, Mark G posted.

If he say it I do not even need to read it, I simply missed it and thought you have found a new source = always a good thing, but I prefer to read a bit to a new source till I categorze it

= nothing to do with doubts about you, as said, thought you find a new source

many many thanks, I am really starting to et cross-eyed (I work at the same time at a very lengthy list with literally thousands of book datas)

Hi, I was lurking here for the last few weeks and thought I'd chime in about this now. You can find that number in the insidekino.de forums, week 52.

It is 2.4-2.6 million for the whole week, meaning about 1.3 to 1.5 million for Monday-Wednesday, which would be a new record for weekdays.

:welcome: Many thanks to you too, I was blind, the rest see my previous post

I hope you enjoy your time here and at all the other areas of the forum (some newbes seem to miss a lot of those , incl e.g. Real Life)

Some very good holds this week (Spectre - wow!) but also some steep drops - worst among them SW7 which took an unexpected dive from ist strong opening - hopefully it can recover over the holidays (I saw it Monday, show was packed). Also steep drops for the two Pixar releases - again, I don't understand because other family stuff showed fine holds ("Heidi" might reach 1mil total, nice). Among openers, bestseller adaption "Ich bin dann mal weg" opened as good as could be expected, while "Peanuts" were far stronger than I had feared. "Mr Holmes" didn' generate much business, i don't know, might be the timeframe is just not the right one for such a movie.

Next weekend: "The Revenant" is the most interesting opener but I don't know if it can make it into the Top3, it's not a very holidayish film I fear. Other releases are "Jane Got a Gun", "Solace" and "Joy" - nothing here to keep people from watching SW7, so I'm hoping for a non-drop!

Shouldnt it play more like Avatar which had the same christmas constellation? That dropped 4% in its second and 14% in its third weekend, but had nearly as much admissions on monday to wednesday as it had on the weekend before. Maybe a million admissions in midweek and a million at the third WE? I dont know where the 1,5mio admissions number comes from but if that is right that would - of course - be much better :)

But after this second weekend drop (which clearly isnt as good as many hoped) i am not that optimistic...

That seems like a bad drop for SW, especially compared to the The Hobbit movies and with much less competition. I know they started a bit lower, but still. TH3 made almost 900k adm in it's 3rd weekend and that had Honig im Kopf (750k adm) and Exodus (350k adm) opening. And TH2 made 1.1m in it's second and it wasnt helped by the actual Christmas days like this was. Is it the fact that Christmas was on Friday? Were the theaters closed?

so monday -wednesday's admission is about 1.2mil-1.3mil?
