New Karate Kid movie | December 13, 2024

Well he's re-writing an already existing script so assuming that gets done in a couple of months, they could get a greenlight from Columbia and start filming in June or July for an early/mid 2013 release (maybe even December 2012 depending on post work). A three year gap isn't that much.

The sequel to the 2010 film, finds DRE (Jaden Smith) and his mother returning to the States, so he can pursue a pre-med education at USC. Dre falls into an underground world of fighting that threatens to derail his education and relationship with fellow classmate, Michelle. That is, until HAN (Jackie Chan) shows up to remind Dre where he comes from and how to get back on the right path.

The movie has not yet been rated but will likely be rated ‘PG.’ The studio cannot, of course, guarantee the rating that the film will ultimately receive
