Eric Prime
I mean 64% is still way higher than I expected. Thought this woulda been a 33% clunker.

Krissykins
I hope this does over $10m just for the January box office. And Gerard of course, he’s from my town lol. Got to support local!
Asyulus
Spoiler I know that this has a “die hard” in an island but will it have “die hard” in the plane? Especially for the second act?
CJohn
This was insanely entertaining and thrilling. Gerard Butler delivers another winner. Do not miss this movie.

The early reviews and word of mouth on this has been a pleasant surprise! Here we were assuming a typical January dump. I hope this is a continuing theme for the 2023 slate of offerings. DAJK
This wasn’t bad. I wouldn’t go as far as @CJohn but, at the very least, as far as January action films go, you could do a lot worse. Felt like mid-tier post-Taken Liam Neeson imo, not as bad as Taken 3 or Blacklight, but not as good as The Grey.
stuart360
People dont even seem to bothered in tracking this in the tracking thread, but i feel this will surprise a few people with a 20+mil OW.
marveldcfox
Gerard has been delivering some solid action / thriller movies of late.

Not going to happen. Preview gross was way too small ($625K).

Lucas
This was solid. Gerard Butler acts as if he's in Shakespeare when it so easily could've starred someone just looking to pay off their mortgage. Verrows
Yeah this was better than you'd think. Reminds me a bit of Alpha back in 2018. A movie that you think is some dump that ends up being a quality little crowd pleaser. I thought it had two distinct sort of flavours. There's the action of the 2nd half, and the thriller disaster aspect of the plane landing sequence, which I thought was really well done. It wasn't cheesy and over the top. It felt very real and intense, like you're there on the plane with them. Hoping for a leggy run for this.
