As long as TGM gets nominated for Best Picture and a whole bunch of things I'm happy.

They'll probably wait until Avatar 5 before giving Cameron Best Director, like them waiting to give Dune 2 everything next year.

A. Cameron already has his Oscars...won them for a litle film called "Titanic".

B. So far, the Avatar films have not been nearly as good as the LOTR films were.

I'm predicting TG:M will get seven nominations (Picture + Editing + Cinematography + VFX + Song + Soundx2). I'm hoping Cruise and Kosinski can make it nine.

Four for AVATAR - VFX + Production Design + Soundx2). It might sneak five with cinematography but that's a crowded field this year.

BP2 will get the same nominations as AVATAR plus Supporting Actress + Costumes + Song.

There's only one sound category now. Sound mixing and sound editing were combined into a single Best Sound category

No idea what the big surprise is going to be, but I know there is going to be one. I could see both Fableman supporting guys missing or Williams. Could see Pope in Best Actor over Mescal. I still think Kosinski makes it in for Director, actually.
