To be fair, this Monday  is also a school holiday.

No, it wasn't.

Not a holiday. Easter Monday isn't a thing where work/schools gives you a day off.

Spring break might be going on in some places, so weekday numbers may be boosted.

Can I ask how does it work on the US? In my country (Peru) the long weekend it's because of a christian/catholic tradition "Semana Santa" where the churchs organize activities since thursday (actually the sunday before but that's just one day) untill Easter Sunday (also called Domingo de Resurreccion here) so...we don't have a reason to not go to school or work by monday lol it just ends.

Just looking on numbers from previous years it seems like the overall boxoffice indeed is a bit boosted on easter Monday compared to other days, considering movies are flat/decreasing on the following Tuesday. It might not be an actual holiday, but it seems more people are generally off on Easter Monday.

Anyway, this is not the kind of numbers it should be doing if it's aiming for 600m. Thinking a finish on around ~500m right now.

Especially kid-friendly get bigger bump than usual. It is a widely known box office trend.

Dumbledore begins previews in the U.S. at 3,200 locations at 2 p.m. today. This is the first time the franchise is playing the spring having previously played November before. ComScore see the available audience for Dumbledore as 22% K-12 schools off today, rising to 73% on Good Friday and maintaining 41% off on Easter Monday.

This was from Deadline for FB3 opening last year. So there are still a significant amount of schools off on Easter Monday but not to the level of Good Friday.

I keep hearing about all this vacation in April. Schools have varying vacation times, but I'm not aware of any US companies that have the Monday after Easter as paid time off. Some give Good Friday off, but the Monday after Easter? Nope.

Yeah I'm just parroting what's being said honestly. I never got Good Friday or Easter Monday when I was in K-12 or now in employment.
