Valencia
Oh hey reviews are actually decent. Not going to save it box office wise though unfortunately. Edited September 26, 2023 by Valencia
Borobudur
Is only fitting to have "Pandora" in the promotional material when many reviews compare Creator and Avatar.
ThomasNicole
66 on MC [25 reviews] 80% on RT / 7.3 average [51 reviews] Shouldn´t change radically from now on
WittyUsername
Most of the praise seems to be for the technical aspects of the film, rather than for its story and characters. That sure sounds like a Gareth Edwards movie.

titanic2187
This movie is Woman King of 2023, a mid-budget original action flick that try to standout in the quiet September. I am hoping for $100m total but at this point anything 70m is satisfactory enough already.

Squire
Rotten Tomatoes has really ruined how people look at reviews. This movie is getting good reviews overall, but because it’s RT score is under 90% so much of the chatter is “The Creator’s not great.” And this happens for a lot of movies. If a movie isn’t as great as Oppenheimer or Spiderverse, it sucks. I think we were better off before review aggregation sites. Too many people rely on them instead of watching a movie and making their own opinion.

The only exception I know to that is Avatar, where you can get a 76% and still be considered a masterpiece for some reason. Valencia is basically proving my point about how RT scores have skewed people’s perception of whether a movie is “good” or not. Gladiator has an 80% on RT. I’m sure for most people that movie is not a “B-“ of a film.
WittyUsername
Rotten Tomatoes is a review aggregate site. The Tomatometer simply reflects the percentage of individual critics who recommend a movie, not how much they love it. titanic2187
As of now it got 78% fresh with 7.3/10, it isn't much worse than Dune 83% with 7.6/10 actually.

Eric Prime
Not speaking for everybody, but I've used the RT score more as a "this % is the likelihood you will like this movie". So a 90% isn't a "9/10", it's a "90% chance it's at least a 6/10".
