FOr the record, the creators of the original Godzillla in 1954 hated what happened to him in the 60's, when the series was aimed at kids, and The Big G became a hero. A allegory about Nuclear War was turned into a silly kids show.

those creators were involved in making Godzilla into a hero, by writing and directing several of those films, with ishrio honda even saying Godzilla revenge (aka the most kid-friendly Godzilla film ever made) was his favourite

The idea behind this movie is so fucking awesome honestly. Like, having Godzilla co-exist with the nuclear bomb blasts rather than be a replacement/metaphor is such an interesting and devastating idea.
