Oppenheimer

the 18-34 moviegoing crowd showed up at 66% for the 3-hour pic. A solid five stars from moviegoers last night for the Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnet ensemble.

How is 5 stars a solid Post Trak result?

0.0% chance Oppenheimer opens to that preview figure if it is by itself.

Nolan needs to send WB a thank you.

WB initially chose the date as a fuck you to Nolan so he should actually write “hahahaha”

If barbie makes 190-200 M without IMAX and against a 90M debut It's the most relevant OW in box office history After end game.

If Oppenheimer makes 90M with rated R 3 hours movie against a 200M opener It's in the top 5 of the most relevant OW.

There's been lots of insanely hype openings, like endgame, TFA, and NWH. But this one kinda reminds me of the hype of Jurassic World. We all thought that was gonna do maybe 200M TOTAL domestic if it was lucky like a week out from release XD. Barbie is certainly putting some shocking numbers out but nothing will ever compare to the shock of JW breaking the OW record

Early PostTrak shows 4 1/2 stars for Barbie and a 79% definite recommend. 82% were general audiences, with 11% kids under 12 and parents repping 7%. A massive 71% female.

Are we placing bets on the "Will Flash attract 10% of Barbie's female audience on Opening Weekend" challenge.

I am thinking is Barbie could do enough to dethorn WB's HP record

Honestly surprising HP still has that after all this time. Even more surprising if Barbie is somehow the one to break that XD

What makes DH2'2 169M OW even more impressive is that its previews were true midnights - there was no Thursday money rolled into its Opening Day.

Sorry, does Barbie have no PLF screens or just no IMAX screens? Any idea what Barbie's PLF screen % looks like?

has PLF screens and a great amount of them from what  I read here, no Imax, it's OPP exclusive.

I, for one, will be surprised if Oppenheimer scores above a B+ CinemaScore which is perfectly in check with Inception and Interstellar which were both leggy as Hell.

Just an FYI, come late tonight/early tomorrow morning.

If Posttrak is saying it got 5 stars it's probably getting either A or A-.

For Oppenheimer, Guys dominated overall at 65%. Broken down there were 40% men over 25, 24% men under 25, 19% women over 25, and 16% women under 25.

A perfect-counterprogramming in display.

These audience scores everywhere maybe means people should stop acting that so many people werent into Oppenheimer just because of a few reddit posts and tweets lol.

Better late than never but glad to see some good news coming from what has been overall a disappointing summer so far. Enjoy this while we can cause I don't see this perfect storm of events happening anytime soon for two movies that are as different as each other yet oddly connected in a weird way. Add SoF's remarkable run and Elemental's comeback the summer is seeing some good stories towards to the latter part.
