Comps:

1.19x The Woman King- $2.03 Million

1.55x Gran Turismo- $2.17 Million

0.48x Blue Beetle- $1.58 Million

A mish-mash of not so great comps that mostly point to around 2 million at the moment.

Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 (T-11):

Day: T-11 Shows New Seats Sold Seats % Sold
Totals: 14 theaters 28 13 18 2978 0.6

Comps (Just Thursday):

0.82x Strays- $900k

0.72x Joy Ride- $792k

I imagine demand these last few days has been way more concentrated on National Cinema Day than both of these, so we'll see if they accelerate now.

Is Saw X getting IMAX?

On the Saw reddit page the director wrote that they're trying to secure IMAX for Oct 6th weekend since Kraven had the IMAX exclusive for that week and has relocated. So either The Creator will have IMAX for 2 weeks, or they'll give some IMAX to Saw X that weekend, all depends on how well Saw X performs.

I'm expecting Dolby to go to Paw Patrol, so looks like Saw X may have no PLF opening weekend. Not desirable but for a horror movie it's not as important.

The Creator is getting Dolby that weekend too. Likely going to get a solid two weeks in the large formats before The Exorcist takes over them given that the movie has been touting itself as a "see it on the biggest screen possible" experience.

There seemed to be no immediate effect from nNCD. Both comps dropping.

Hopefully it shows strong down the stretch. It's going to need 30-40% jumps or more to keep pace this week.

That's the 40% growth I was hoping for. What's funny is that it still lost ground against GT, which had 56% growth at the same point in time.

Still, good to see sales increase.

Any news for The Nun 2 ticket selling

It was said here that the tickets go on sale today. I will look later if it's true.

Edit: So far it says "available soon". So probably available in a few hours or at the latest tomorrow.
