AMC Empire 25 in New York.  4 showings on Thursday.  Three showings each for Friday-Sunday.

T-4 (9:40pm EST) had 827 tickets sold for Terrifier 3 Thursday-Sunday.  374 of those tickets sold for Thursday.

T-3 (4:25pm EST) has 947 tickets sold (+14.51%) for Terrifier 3 Thursday-Sunday.  423 (+13.10%) of those tickets sold for Thursday.

Getting to where we need more showings at this venue.

Would definitely be upping expectations on Terrifier 3 at this stage. It could be majorly front-loaded and bring in a lot of people that might be turned away immediately when they realize it's not a run-of-the-mill horror franchise.. but... maybe not so much?

Empire is getting a little TOO excited here.

I think $10M OW is more realistic and would be fantasic for Terrifier.

these are exactly my thoughts as well.

I was checking Terrifier 3 showings and I’d be surprised if it releases in more than 1.5k locations.

He replied someone who was arguing that 20M million OW would be impossible for a movie releasing in only like 1500 location. And then his argument is that Joker downfall will make theaters give Joker showings to Terrifier. IDK if this will happen. For me it’s more likely that Terrifier will get the best box office average per location this weekend and then in its second week it will expand to more theaters. Idk why it’s not being distributed by a major studio fans demand is clearly there.

Major studios don't want to release an unrated gore fest like Terrifier, if they submitted it to the MPA the only option would be NC-17

Terrifier 3 Utah presale update.

T-17 is 245 tickets sold (+38.4%).  35.00 tickets per theater or 15.31 tickets per showing.

T-13 (1:30pm EST) is 292 tickets sold (+19.18%).  41.71 tickets per theater or 18.25 tickets per showing.

T-8 (1:45pm EST) is 370 tickets sold (+26.71%).  52.86 tickets per theater or 23.12 tickets per theater.

T-3 (7pm EST) is 572 tickets sold (+24.08%).  81.71 tickets per theater or 33.65 tickets per showing.

These existing theaters really need more showings for Thursday otherwise we have a capacity cap that will limit Thursday growth and likely push patrons to weekend showings.

I'm shocked it's actually selling relatively good at my local theater too which is one of the most family friendly theaters in Miami Dade

Increasingly high probability that Terrifier is #1 this weekend, IMHO. I was skeptical the tracking pace would keep up but it has so far. BUT, I want to see how exhibitors respond to the demand and how much of the non-niche horror audience might show up.

This little indie-brand-that-could might be peaking at a perfect time.

It's worth pointing out that Terrifier 3 doesn't have any showtimes up yet at MTC4 in Canada. It's listed on the site,so probably gets some showtimes when full sets for this weekend go up tomorrow night.

It is playing in some smaller theatres around here, but still not the number two chain. Again, probably gets those tomorrow.

As a high school teacher, I can say with certainty that Terrifier 3 is the most talked-about movie among that demographic since FNAF.

The funny thing is, none of them can actually buy tickets. Which genuinely makes me interested in what it’s gross will be. I for one can never bring myself to have much interests in pure gore-fests like that (a bit too mean spirited for me) but I applaud the filmmakers for basically being able to turn an underground indie into a substantial IP.

Terrifier 3 Michigan presale update.
Thursday Oct 10 showings only.
38 theaters.
94 showings (+1 since T-8).

T-22 was 432 tickets sold.  11.3684 tickets per theater or 4.91 tickets per showing.

T-17 is 573 tickets sold (+32.64%).  15.079 tickets per theater or 6.51 tickets per showing.

T-13 (morning) is 673 tickets sold (+17.45%).  17.71 tickets per theater or 7.48 tickets per showing.

T-8 (6pm EST) is 908 tickets sold (+34.92%).  23.89 tickets per theater or 9.76 tickets per showing.

T-3 (9:20pm EST) is 1,542 tickets sold (+69.82%).  40.58 tickets per theater or 16.40 tickets per showing.

Not sure why Michigan lags a bit but the growth is steady.  I’m guessing the initial theaters that made up my tracking group (the first 38 that opened for presales) not being as AMC/Cinemark/Regal heavy as other states plays a role.
