Good thing his career doesn't depend on him pretending to be things he is not then.

I didn't mean him as a person, I meant him as an actor. I haven't seen any evidence from any of his (terrific) acting work that suggests his performance would be in line with other Bonds.

 

I personally couldn't give a shit about Bond as I hate the franchise and loathe the character, couldn't care less if he is white or black, gay or straight, whatever. I just mean in comparison to other previous actors playing the role.

Good news: seems like the Empire Leicester Square IMAX will screen SPECTRE with the first-in-Europe IMAX laser projectors:

Slightly unsure if this will actually be the case since Odeon are already promoting that their Leicester Square theatre will show SPECTRE and there's that odd rule that only one cinema in Leicester Sq can show a film at a time but - if the Empire do show it, I think it's a no brainer that this is the best place to see the film on opening night in central London.

I suspect Odeon Leicester Square will get the rights since they usually have first dibs on films like Bond. I wouldn't be surprised if the BFI IMAX gets an upgrade to laser as well in time for Spectre.

I would've said Odeon was a given - but this press release landed today....

Not sure that the BFI will get the lasers for a while, at least not in time for SPECTRE. Anyway Empire and Odeon have until Monday to sort this mess out lol

Also - looks like BOTH the Empire IMAX Leicester Square and the Odeon Leicester Square will be playing the film. Both cinemas just answered my question on Twitter.

The Skyfall posters were very similar with just Bond posing, the one of him shooting was my favourite as was the teaser poster.
