SPECTRE | 11/6/15 | Final Trailer on Page 126! | Twitter reactions coming in, STID 2.0?

Spectre nudges Daniel Craig's rebooted Bond closer to the glorious, action-driven spectacle of earlier entries, although it's admittedly reliant on established 007 formula.

Which is why it isn't getting over 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. But is it delivering what the audience want? That is what matters. I see other posters think that 77% may hold it back. I don't think so.

No no, it's gonna be like MAN OF STEEL.

TASM 2 is a pretty spot on comparison. Lots of questionable moments for people to remember and talk about (e.g there's a funny joke that's immediately ruined by the following line of dialogue), and unlike MOS the highest praise I've heard is "it's alright, I guess".

Why do you have to compare it? I don't know, I guess Age of Ultron?

The dropoff is going to be bigger.  It's RT critic rating will be probably be down in the 60s and it's audience ratings on IMDB and RT are already at 7.6 and 77% .  Maybe Casino Royale to QOS

Yes but some sequels experience much bigger drops than others.

Compared to AOU, STID's drop wasn't too bad.

The huge difference is Avengers was a mega blockbuster and it's % drop off was in line with most sequels to huge blockbusters with maybe just SM2 being the exception.

Omg, that movie was DULL as fuck and flat out boring. Not a fan at all. I found it to be worst then Quantum of Solace. Well short of Casino Royale and Skyfall. You could see the reveal coming from a mile away. I haven't been this disappointed in an action movie in a LONG time. Skyfall was one of my favorite action movies of all time, and this movie falls well short of it. I felt like they tried to force too much into this movie, by connecting it to the previous three movies. Movie fell apart in the 2nd half bc of it. Not a fan. I'd give it a C-.

Skyfall was similar on IMDB, at 7.8, so why all the doom and gloom?

Skyfall has 468k votes vs Spectre's 13k . Skyfall was still in the 8s when it had been out for a while had a couple of hundred thousand votes.  IMDB ratings traditionally go down, particularly films with a pre-existing fan base.  QOS was once in the 8s...
