This is pretty awesome if they keep it at this number. Is there any way you can do the same calculation with Aeon cinema theaters?

No. The aeon cinema information is not made public. However, some people in the Japanese forum

sometimes give information of other cinemas but I have never seen anything about Aeon.

My friend and I spent time visiting TOHO's website to do a brief calculation of this weekend's Frozen seats.

 

Last Saturday: 141222

 

This Saturday : around 125000

 

So, at least in TOHO, Frozen lost 11% seats , which is much better than I have heard.

 

11% is not a big deal , what counts is how many people do want to pick Frozen over other new movies.

125k for upcoming Saturday 4/26, down 11%? Did it have 150k seats during SB? I was hoping to match the sb high of 58906/80440 toho with 3d and sun evening bump. with 8% price hike and 3d bum that would be close to 10m.

It's pretty much all gravy for me since it's passed TF3 so because there's no way I'm gonna be disappointed with the final gross now might as well go all in

I bumped up weekend 7 due to 3D and sing along release. This projection is with 15% average drops (5-20% drops applied randomly) after GW which has yet to materialize in the run. At 10% or less and a 100% hold here or there and it climbs to 300m+. The 100% hold this weekend and mondays improvement caused a major ripple effect in the size of numbers down the line. Ponyo pulled from table, that fish is fried. I read the timetable of this Saturday showtimes, finding that 3D dubbed mostly has two showtimes in the theater. So, I dont think it will have huge impact on the ticket price. On the highest SB weekend , Frozen had around 160000 seats . So, in my opinion, even 8m this weekend would be amazing and the saturation level needs to be over 50%. TOHO lost at least 11% seats while other cinemas like A eon might be worse.

Toho scored 80,000 one sunday and an 83000 on wed 154000, 52 and 54% there. 60k sat and a bumped 73k sun, 48-59%, possible for 9m I guess. Maybe it does the usual and surprise us again!Edit. I guess we have been spoiled a little by the last few weeks... a small decrease in seats for a six week old holdover is pretty amazing. Especially when considering that it is facing huge competition from all sides (local and global). I am getting a little flashback to the week just before the DOM singalong release where quite a few people hoped for an increase in TC and revenue... anyways this weekend is going to be a real nail biter

Yes, but I also noticed that some 3D seats also come from its dubbed 2d . For example, in some theaters,

last week 6 x 2D dubbed becomes  3x 2D dubbed, 2x 3D dubbed and 1 x Singalong....

that's what makes it fun to figure out. Sing along has the hype, shut out dubbed 3d fans finally get their chance. it could be huge. Somebody is going to get wacked though. Maybe spidey.
