JAPAN BOX OFFICE | Demon Slayer breaks all time record for OW

Recommended Posts

Lets not forget the story the moments that just have people crying.... That ending of her saving Jake and not caring hes human and screaming my Jake!! EPIC Film making.

I actuall think  the sequels may increase each time on  a gigantic scale... So one of those films may go over 4B WW.. So  this could be the greatest run ever in the history of sequels.. 12-14+B by the end is definitely possible.

 Could be a scenario .. Avatar 2 3.3-3.6B, Avatar 3 --4b+, Avatar 4.. Oh my 4.5-5B WW :)...

I thought the Avatar movies were a trilogy.  There's not supposed to be an Avatar 4.

The biggest chain in Japan, Aeon Cinema, decided to again extend Frozen's run for another week....

Do you think its a trick to get more people to see it as a "last chance" in theatres?

Any chance for more Frozen is good in my book.:D

Godzilla fell to third place? How? Why? Is it bad word of mouth like everywhere else?

Calm down. :P

Wednesday is Ladies Day in Japan.  Women get half-off, so films targeting women do extremely well on Wednesdays.

Warner Bros. is about to get a huge boost with the two part sequel to Rurouni Kenshin, the first half is being released this weekend and pre-sales sales look very, very strong already, and the second part being released in September.  Combined, they'll more than double their first 6 months tally above.

No.  Warner Bros. has earned $51 million (as of the end of June) for the year, but the two parts of the Rurouni Kenshin sequel will make more than twice that amount combined.  Pre-sales actually look so good for the first half opening this weekend, that it alone could approach that number ($40 million maybe).
