Jessie
Incredible is different from Extraordinary. Now, planet of the Apes and Tree of Life had extraordinary effects.Hush now, your wrong.

riczhang
Hush now, your wrong.Oh, don't be insufferableTree of Life? Those visuals are truly groundbreaking, they had Douglas Trumbull doing effects. They aren't traditional CGI or MoCap effects, but the high speed photography, and actually physically manipulating things and shooting it is simply nothing short of groundbreaking.
The Stingray
I don't know all the technicalities, the way you seem to do, but there was nothing really remarkable about the visual effects in Tree of Life IMO. Any high profile science/nature BBC show has similar visuals. And Jurassic Park from '93 had prettier dinosaurs.
druv10
LOP has this locked up.

The technique and work put into it is miles and miles better than anything else last year.

riczhang
I somehow doubt that. Do some reading into it. The experimentation they did was astonishing.
The Stingray
Do some reading into it. The experimentation they did was astonishing. Well, I don't doubt that. Its just that I think they put in a lot of time and effort in creating the spectacular carnage in TF3 as well. But oh well, I might be wrong. Like I said before, you seem more knowledgeable about this stuff than I.
RichWS
I wouldn't have expected it to win, but a damn nomination was in order.
Jessie
The effects in Transformers looked more realistic than that if Tree of life. TOL was good, but you could tell it wasn't real, TF3 looked a lot more impressive IMO.
