Jack Nevada
Also having a boring, depressing lead character and supporting cast full of blithering idiots didn't help either.

ddddeeee
Its very burtonesque, isnt it? Like Burton at his most burtonestYep. All the characters were based on his original drawings so it's the most 'Burton' Burton movie ever.
Jack Nevada
I dont mind burtonesque, but sometimes he goes overboard with it (*cough*Batman Returns*cough*). Im not a huge fan of Burton as a director but he has done some great movies. Not too many lately, though.I think i'll enjoy Frankenweenie. Looks like fun Edited January 9, 2013 by Jack Nevada
Michael Gary Scott
I was really excited for paranorman cause it reminded me of one of my fav animated movied coraline. When i saw it while good and i enjoyed it its not even close to coraline.
Alpha
I've always had a bitter taste for Burton's filmmaking. He's just too weird and gothic and his films didn't really connect with me.

SchumacherFTW
I still haven't seen Hotel Transylvania or Frankenweenie, but to me animation this year has been really weak. Nothing got me mega excited in advance, and nothing really stuck with me after watching it. Here's hoping next year is better.

Hotel Transylvania I think is a really fun, chaotic movie, but if you're looking for something atmospheric then Frankenweenie is a great choice. 2012 wasn't that good of a year for animation, but there werent that many of em released either
SchumacherFTW
I've been wanting to see Hotel Transylvania for ages, but when I got the chance to see it I was overruled by my girlfriend in favour of Silent Hill. I may download a 3D copy of Frankenweenie later though.

SchumacherFTW
I like to give myself the option at least generally. I can always force it to play in 2D as well.
