Parasite
OSS 117 3 probably going over 200k admissions OD, including previews (~130k true OD) which could lead to 800k-900k OW. Very good considering the circumstances.

john2000
a tad lower than the first antman movie....ok result imo, lets see its legs and how the rest of the weekend will go.Bw had an ow of 6,5 mill or so and finished with 15 mill while antman 1 had a start of 3,3 mill and finished with 13,5 mill ...hopefully shang can match that
Cooper Legion
Yeah, legs should be better at least. How is the impact of vaccine passports at the moment?
Menor the Destroyer
BW did open before the vaccine pass. So I guess the better comparison may be TSS where it is ~2.3x the OD. Though I'm not sure if the vaccine pass effect has gone down since then.

Jamiem
Quote Disney, however, isn’t on the same page. Several sources say the studio is mulling skipping the theatrical release altogether in France and releasing straight on streaming platform Disney Plus in order to avoid being subjected to the local windowing release schedule. “It’s a worrying situation,” said Ardavan Safaee, CEO of Pathé, which operates France’s leading cinema circuit. “If some big U.S. movies skip the theatrical release in France it will impact everyone, including the independent French film sector, which benefits from admissions sold for these American blockbusters.” Source: https://variety.com/2021/film/global/france-windowing-netflix-disney-1235064204/

It had a 8.98 True OD to OWeek multi, which is extremely strong. Audience score on Allociné stands at 4.4/5. It has three weeks to itself before NTTD, so a 3.0-3.5M admissions finish should be doable given strong WOM. Shang-Chi (4.1 score) is also enjoying good holds and should reach 1.5M admissions. Boîte Noire and Bac Nord are also WOM hits (respectively 4.2 and 4.3 score). Boîte Noire will pass the 1M admission mark and Bac Nord, which has been holding incredibly well in the last weeks, will hit 2.1M admissions (4x+ multi ! from OWeek), just a tad under Les Misérables's score in 2019. Pourris Gâtés and L'origine du monde, two french comedies post weak openings. Drive My Car, which won Best Screenplay at Cannes, will also have a 4x multi to reach 220k admissions. It's Ryosuke Hamaguchi's biggest film in France, surpassing Asako, despite being three hours long. 2.6 million admissions were sold this week, which is higher than the same weeks in 2019 and 2020.
