JarJarBinks
A quick heads up that because of the holiday, many/most of the numbers the studios report today will technically be estimates instead of exact actuals.

narniadis
Transformers Monday numbers should not be included - they opened the movie at 8pm on Monday night not midnight on Tuesday their loss at a bigger od number

And TF1 Monday number wasn't midnights, it was early preview shows that started much earlier than midnight so it's a Monday gross.

Fakhir
Even if TF1 Monday numbers are added, it made $36m in 28 hours while TASm made $35m in 24.
baumer
I'm not poo-pooing Spidey's number at all but there were Monday shows at 9pm in Canada too. I wonder if there were any in the US.
RTX
TF OD was deflated because of Monday previews. That's why it managed a small bump on July 4th.TASM with a proper OD should drop.

Canada's shows really aren't that important, we contribute something like less than 10 percent to the grosses of films. Those early shows in Canada didn't happen in the US as far as I know so, it really is as if the movie didn't have them at all.
Taylor
I wonder why Canada does 8PM screenings and not midnights. Do our theaters just not like staying open late?
