Godzilla
weak200M without China and Japan. It can make 100M in both countries, which would equal about 300M OS. Not bad at all.

KidFlash
A complication is that we don't know the details of how Legendary/WB are splitting the revenue. WB is on the hook for 45-50m + marketing (I assume), but I don't know how they're splitting foreign/domestic grosses. The IP properties probably have some value for Legendary as well -- even if they don't pursue another sequel, they might want to do comics or whatever. Not bad at all. when the final OS gross hits, i will bump that message it wont do more than 25mil in japan, and 55-60mil in china. and ex china japan is only more like 180mil, and its already losing steam currently 110m. zackzack
$300M WW is pretty good considering the original material. China is a bit more indiscriminate: OBLIVION did $23M, STID did a mind-boggling $56M, GIJOE2 did $54M PACRIM will do well in China. Japan, on the other hand, they will scoff at American attempt at their Mecha genre. Edited July 22, 2013 by zackzack

Fake
PR can still get to 400m WW. Overseas, from current markets, it will finish with 175-180m (2.8-3x multiplier from current weekend). Brazil ($6-7m), Scandinavia ($3-4m), Spain ($5m) and other smaller markets should bring another 15-20m. Domestic looks to finish with 105m. So that's 300m WW excluding China and Japan. Needs a strong performance from these two countries, but $100m is definitely possible. PR has so far performed well above Battleship in most East Asian markets and that made $70m in these two markets.

juni78ukr
Doesn't mean anything actually. Pacific Rim is already dying in many markets it was released last week. -63% in South Korea, -51% in Italy after very poor start. Even 50-60 million in China didnt change anything. Studio will get 15 millon at best and people there wont pay for VoD and wont buy a lot of DVD's.
