RichWS
Look out now! It is also opening up against Fox’s “The Peanuts Movie,” which analysts believe will open at $50 million plus http://www.thewrap.com/spectre-tracking-for-80-million-plus-opening-at-box-office/
langer
I have a feeling that Peanuts is an American centric franchise just like Tintin is a European centric franchise. Anyone else thinks the DOM ratio is gonna be higher than 50%?
mahnamahna
With Goosebumps targeting older kids/nostalgic young adults, Pan flopping and HT2 being over a month into its run, I wouldn't be super surprised by a $50 million+ OW for Peanuts The weekend before looks pretty empty, so Spectre and Peanuts have plenty of room for a potential $125 million+ between the two. Plus Peanuts Movie has had a solid marketing campaign. Looking forward to Nov 6-8 to see how the two openers (with a third nonfactor) do.

grim22
With there being no proper family movie options, especially for little kids, post Hotel Transylvania 2, I think this will do really well on opening weekend. The billboards and outdoor advertising has started and TV Spots are also on now.
Impact
This is going to be big I'm sure-and proof you don't need a voice cast to have a big animated film! (Or any big names I should say! Considering the only name in the cast with a wiki page is a Disney channel actress who is 11 years old-and the voice of Snoopy which is archive recordings) Edited October 16, 2015 by Impact
Blankments
This is that spot I was talking about the other day that's the rare TV spot I actually love EDIT: Actually there's one with the Peanuts theme but same framing which is great Edited October 16, 2015 by Blankments

dudalb
If it's faithful to the classic comic, it will do very well. We might have another Inside Out/Jurassiac World situation where do movies do extremley well on one weekend. And although SPECTRE will win the weekend, would not be surpised if Peantus give them a run for their money. People forget that in 2006 Casino Royale and Happy Feet ended up close to each other.
MovieMan89
I admit my low expectations for the box office performance have definitely gone up. Marketing has been really strong lately.

MovieMan89
The beginning of November isn't exactly a time for two smashes though. If this does really well, I bet Spectre is doing worse than we think. Kind of an IS/BH6 situation, except with more for Spectre than IS obviously. dudalb
Sorry, I already saw it so I view as in the past. Please forgive my transgression. Forgiven. But is has only opened in a few big citeis in the US. Does not open nationwide until next weekend. I know, because I am dying to see it, and have to wait until next weekend.... AniNate
Maybe Burnt can find an audience among yuppie types, but for the most part this and SPECTRE are what most moviegoers are waiting for
