If that film did that much, may be some old classic Hollywood film also managed that.

From these numbers, it looks like a film could fall well short of Wolf Warrior 2 admission yet still gross Wolf Warrior 2 box office numbers, Is that correct?

WW2 has 145mn admits iirc, that would be ¥40 ATP. Endgame has ¥50 so far which is higher than normal. Hollywood films usually have higher ATP as local films will be doing much better in lower tiers of cities. That's case in India as well, Endgame will barely have 60% admits of Dangal but Gross will be around 90% and Dangal did considerably better in Tier A cities. Ratio will be worse for a Salman Khan film like Tiger Zinda Hai, whose gross will be same or higher as Endgame but admits will be around 75%.

 

Weirdly FF8 has a very okayish ATP. I wonder if they didn't release it in 3D or something because the ratio of contribution from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities is actually less than Endgame.
