Quigley
Inception had a 5x multiplier after its 5-day debut(93M yuan). Interstellar will have 4x? The thing is that since the Sunday increase (or minute decrease, whatever) was not inherent to the movie but was observed for all movies on that particular day, I guess the opening weekend is inflated compared to a normal weekend. So the opening-to-total multiplier could be lower than expected.

vc2002
In the Putting International BO Numbers in Perspective thread I posted that USA : China should be 2:1 at this point. So if IS makes $100m in China, it probably means Chinese appreciate the movie than Americans do.

Bob Violence
LOL Pitt is banned from China. He came in June while Jolie was promoting Maleficent. I don't get why people think the government is still pissed off about Seven Years in Tibet when the director of that movie has spent the last few years on and off in China working on Wolf Totem. As for why Pitt isn't coming to promote Fury, keep in mind that Fury is a buyout release through Huayi Brothers instead of a revenue-shared studio release, so it may be as simple as Huayi not wanting to foot the bill for his visit. Another possibility is that Pitt doesn't want to do his first Chinese PR tour for a movie that's arriving a month late and doesn't have great box-office prospects. Olive
Fury presales are very weak, won't be a threat for IS. The other wide release is in 3D.
