WTF! Ralph crashed on Monday in China. ¥10mn best case, that's 80% down from Sunday. Venom on other hand is ¥14.5mn, rather okay 67% drop.

Thought maybe it's skewing young and so Monday drop would be bigger, but it's average ticket price is in the same region as Venom (~35.5 to V's ~36.2)

Maybe the chinese audiences prefer to go droves for their own local comedies instead of comedies starring Asians, made by the Americans.

Yeah, I don't think so. They have spend $200m on a indian made sports drama, and china have their own action movies, yet they love american action movies. 

Non action movies, and a non-ip import at that generally have small OW in china.

Same for animated movies. I don't think china have animation blockbusters yet american animation films open small. If they are good, they become coco or zootopia.
