AC might not match yesterday. Only other movie I recall was PR. Even GitS bumped small.  That's going to be down 95% on Friday. 

Mummy and WW gonna bump 50 and 70%.

its a disaster. But it opened big enough to get a respectable total(may be close to 300m yuan). Good for the rest. Mummy and Wonder Woman will make 600m yuan. Pirates will hit 1.2B and may be Dangal could hit 1.3B yuan.

I think Dangal and pirates will both fall short of the next century by 10-20m. They will be at 1260s and 1160s on thursday after having a 28-30m week.

You know something is wrong about the world when AC has worse WOM than Mummy [among GA].

 

To me, AC was the best theater experience of the year, so far. what a great sci-fi flick. With Promtheus, it perfectly wraps the loop of the Alien franchise, revolving around the philosophy of evolution and such ultimate questions as "creation", "who are we?,  "where are we from?". It's up there with Promtheus as one of the best pure sci-fi films of 21st century imo ... people who panned it will be shameful years in the future.

Should we expect T5 to open significantly lower than F8, or previous entry (Transformer 4 and FF7) show a different pre-sales partner for both franchise ?

The increase of next week is the key. If this really open on 50% of F8, its lifetime gross will probably be lower than TF4.

dangal is very "stubborn" in term of box office, and as resilient as avatar and zootopia in china.

I think Dangal has already had better OD multi than Zootopia and Avatar.

50% lower than FF8 was TF4's OW Total with just 60k shows.  Has to open 1B+ with 150k+ shows. PS are misleading us. Different PS run than FF8.

Yup.

I think it reaches 1.3b after the sun and Mon holds. Just needs to hold -65% next week.

 

I think most schools are out. Mondays holds were -50-60%. That'll boost TF5 on Friday and Sunday
