It will have 3 holidays after the weekend where dailys could be higher than days in OW

Opening day for Dumbo was 46% below Nutcracker but OW will be pretty close, about $11, not good but could be worse lol

Simply due to the 5 day OW, the Chinese record is going to be locked. Now whether that’s $210m or $270m remains to be seen.

 

I’m not that concerned with the OW though. I want the total to hit $450m, that’s my “wish”.

I actually think the science time travel/alternate dimension component could amplify it in China. We shall see.

$250M on 5-day opening means ¥1,680M in today's ER. Only Furious 8 & Detective Chinatown 2 reach that high in this kind of limited time. (¥62M+¥1,573M & ¥1,611M). The former has midnights & a normal weekend, and the later was enjoying Chinese New Year. Endgame just keep midnights, a normal Friday & less-strong-night Saturday because Sunday is a workday. Considering Marvel movies always rely on young audience especially students(we can see this by Infinity War's first Saturday), so more workdays mean more negative to it's box office.

we will see fingers crossed if any hollywood movie can do its its this one and 5 days will help it .... we will see ,noone saw iw hit 200 ow there either anyway hope for the best

I would like it to at least get ¥1,500M and a 2x multiplier (which I think is feasible because of the holiday, thought maybe not likely.)

it was more of a guess i would say we cant know for sure at least until the presales start bc i bet he didnt predict iw to make 200 ow either .... without enough info all of this is a guess which could be right or wrong in the end

Dumbo with a strong Sunday hold and average Maoyan score is holding steady. While it didn't breakout, it didn't collapse either.
