dxmatrixdt
Inception was all about the flow. That is something that will be hard to top. The flow of the visual spectacle with the sound and the pacing and emotions. Still, Interstellar > Inception.
Goffe
The last hour is so god damn perfect that I can easily forgive Nolan for shoving that much exposition in the first half. And it's easily on the bottom half of his filmography. Praise our savior Jesus Chris(t) Nolan. 90/100 Edited December 4, 2016 by Goffe
Jessie
The exposition in interstellar is its main strength imo, I love exposition when its done well. I never understand the complaint in it. Maybe its people just wanting to look smart by letting on they understood the plot without the need of that much exposition.

Jessie
^ You mean Inception? I only saw half of the first Matrix. Shameful, I know. Its very shameful, the first half is great, a total mind fuck but the second half has one of the most intense chase scenes of any action movie. I watched it a couple of weeks ago and its still great. inception gets worse and worse in time.

It's the monologuing once they get into space where things start getting creaky.

Lordmandeep
I think Inception rates above Interstellar as it finishes very strongly and it benefits from being set in a dream world. The stuff that happens realistically makes little sense but the novelty of watching this on screen was a delight. Also I think Inception may be a film set in our reality but has a distinct SCI FI element to it. Interstellar was an A film until the black hole scene and the film seemed it self grounded on a reality of 'our future'...to us the idea of someone going into a black hole and surviving was literally absurd or in the end was at least poorly explained .
