Jackson's best are far better than Nolan's best. Jackson's worst a significantly worse than the worst I have seen of Nolan.

But totally incomparable directors... Their whole approach is so different .

Modern cinema should be glad to have both. And needs both.

Lord of the Rings trumps anything Nolan has made HOWEVER Nolan has not made the atrocities called the Hobbit and Lovely Bones.  Nolan wins for consistency.

I guess Peter Jackson since Braindead and LOTR are so damn perfect.

As a writer director Nolan is far ahead of Jackson. Jackson hasn't made any of his own into a (huge) critical and financial success even tho Jackson knows how to write. Nolan has proven himself twice with Inception and Interstellar.

Nolan wins for consistency of greatness for me, but Jackson created my favorite movie trilogy of all time and that counts for something.

They're two totally different directors. It's not even a fair fight to begin with.

(Obviously Nolan but he has sort of an unfair advantage)
