Movie trailers premiering during SuperBowl 2013

Recommended Posts

Since the SuperBowl will be watched by around 100+ million people in the United States, premiering movie trailers during the game gets the movie the maximum number of eyeballs possible. From Screencrush: http://screencrush.com/2013-super-bowl-commercials-movie-trailers/So far, only "Star Trek Into Darkness" and "Fast Six" have confirmed that the trailers will run during the game. More trailers may be announced in the next 2 weeks.

Warner Bros and Sony didn't buy time last year but I wonder if The Hangover part III will get a trailer during the Superbowl, it would make sense as the film targets the same male audience as the SB. Disney I imagine will show Iron Man 3, Oz the Great and Powerful and possibly Monsters University.

Ranging around $4 million right now, I think. You don't need a huge budget to afford one. Act of Valor's success last year can be partially attributed to its Super Bowl advertising.

Is 4 Million the 60 second/1 minute cost?

Yeah I'm hoping for something pre or post game. They won't have as much footage for it but if they can scrounge up something I think I'd die.

Same here. Superbowl is in February and if they continue their marketing patterns, one should be released in March so they could air it earlier and have it in Feb. They aired a trailer last year at the superbowl.
