Honestly, for some of us, it was just a transcendent experience. I'm all for plot, story structure, etc., but this was one movie that went so far on the strength of its imagery, vignettes, symbolism, emotional development of characters and relationships, and thematic ambition that it felt like a uniquely moving experience.
