Michael Gary Scott
Ugh I'm worried about a certain characters fate and now have to wait a week longer lol
Lordmandeep
A fictitious God on a fantasy TV show. Mmkay. Guess it's telling everyone to believe in dragons & dead ice beings too.I'm sorry but your friend is an idiot. I have a question is there many real Gods in the show or is the Red God the true God? cozmeesah
I have a question is there many real Gods in the show or is the Red God the true God? There are lots of Gods in the GoT world. R'hllor (Red God), the Seven ("new Gods"... mostly in Southern half of Westeros), the Old Gods (Weirwood trees/Godswood are used, mostly Northern Westeros), then many places in Essos have their own Gods (i.e. Dothraki, the Summer Isles, etc.) They all think their own Gods are the true Gods, we don't really know if any of them are real or if it's all just magic. Lordmandeep
The magic usually comes from sort of a divine or supernatural element in a fantasy novel
cozmeesah
Maybe so, but so far in the books no one is sure if it's just sorcerer tricks/illusions or not.
Lordmandeep
Um Mellisandre brought in a shadow assassin from her womb Thoros of Myr brought the man back from the dead 6 times and he is not even a big believer before
cozmeesah
Yes, but it's a fantasy. Magic doesn't necessarily come from a God. You're taking it way too seriously.
Lordmandeep
As I said it comes from some source of something... Look at all fantasy novels...
4815162342
Even through five books we still have no idea if any of the gods mentioned are real or if all the magic is just some innate quality the world has. So really the show isn't pushing anything. The people in the show are.
DeeCee
There seems to be some suggestion that the presence of dragons in the world allows for more powerful "magic". Edited May 11, 2013 by DeeCee
4815162342
Not really a spoiler since in the Season 2 finale Pyat Pee told Dany that following the birth of her dragons the Warlocks of Qarth had their magical powers increase. This begs the question of whether the magic increase is because of the dragon's presence, or whether the return of the dragons is a symptom of the increased magic in the world (as in that the only reason the ritual to hatch them worked was because the world was tilting back towards magic). It remains an open question.
Lordmandeep
There is also speculation that magic has something to do with the seasons being so messed up.

4815162342
A bunch of screens have leaked and well...let's just say one character is going to have a VERY VERY bad time. And the highlight scene of the episode looks suitably badass and amazing. Edited May 12, 2013 by 4815162342
cozmeesah
I hope they reveal who Boy is (to Unsullied viewers) tonight. They're getting a bit frustrated at the Theon storyline going nowhere.
4815162342
That was the most romance/relationship/sex centric episode of this show yet. Kinda weird how pure relationship drama it was.
Jim Shorts
Not a lot of nudity the last few episodes, so I figure, hey invite the wife to watch tonight's episode. Boy was I in for a surpise. Half way through, she asked if we were watching a porno.
Michael Gary Scott
Oh no Arya! Great episode and the end reminded me of the end of Anchorman.
