The classic 90's Action film!

Bay's best work. The script is solid, and unlike many Bay films which had over-the-top acting and dialogue, this got some really great acting performace and good diaogues.

 

A little anecdote: Being a huge fan of Jim Cameron, when working on this film Bay actually told Ed Harris he wanted to be a director like Cameron and asked what it was like to work with Cameron. Harris said Cameon was an asshole and asked why Bay wanted to be like that.

One of the most brilliant action genre pictures. Its boldly stylish visual grammars, edge-of-the-seat set pieces, charismatic characters, majestic plot that evokes some kind of tragic beauty are unforgettable. Awesome.

An unsubtle (therefore awfully annoying) right wing fantasy, it's the peak of everything that gives Michael Bay a hard on. It could almost pass as a propaganda film.
