Thanks! 17 hours ago, Jason said: Minions is ~$764M and DM2 is ~$470M. I obtain $774m for Minions and $483m for DM2. Pretty similar numbers @MinaTakla There is a specific thread to talk about ER: Adjusting Exchange rates. I am not saying this is a wrong thread, but if you want more info, check it out. I have not updated it for a long time. Too busy . But you can find interesting information.
Jason
11 hours ago, peludo said: I obtain $774m for Minions and $483m for DM2. Pretty similar numbers After updating the exchange rates being used to August 5 (from July 25) and making some corrections for DM2, I now have $771M for Minions and $485M for DM2. Given that our methodology is a little different I'm pretty satisfied with the very close agreement (within 0.5%!). @MinaTakla the Adjusting Exchange Rates thread is now updated: Edited August 7, 2016 by Jason

Agafin
Why isn't Your Name on those lists? At first I thought only HLW films were included but that's obviously not the case seeing all those chinese and korean films in there. Not sure about the source of those charts by @TalismanRing ,but e.g. BoxOfficeMojo also only lists those titles that are released in the US also. InsideKino.com ( a German BO website) does the weekend sorted per quarter of the year (actual we are in the 3rd quarter = I included the link to that) http://www.insidekino.com/BO/WWTopIII2016.htm At their lists 'Your Name' is included The moment they'll add the first of the 4th quarter weekend results the '4th quarter 2016' (IV. Quartal 2016) text changes to to be a link.... Why I jumped in: Skimming through the thread, beside Fantastic Beast and Star Wars: Rogue One, is there any other movie even in the discussion to maybe surpass Batman vs Superman's ww result? I was very much surprised to see the actual ww top 5 detail window at BOM Edited October 5, 2016 by terrestrial
TalismanRing
@terrestrial The charts are from Comscore (formerly Rentrak) http://www.comscore.com/Insights/Rankings?country=US#1 Moana & Sing also have a chance to pass BvS WW. Okaaayyyy Moana is also Disney? Wow. 'Sing' I also had no clue it is even in production (I usually do not follow nor watch animated movies), that's seemingly a co-production incl. Universal. Very curious to see earliest the end of January the real ww 2016 details (see BOM often adjusts sometimes after a year ww details). Just checked at BOM (means starting 1989): not even the top 3 were ever since they started to release the ww charts 'placed' (positioned?) by the same studio. Jason
@terrestrial I actually think it's more likely than not that Secret Life of Pets will pass BvS WW. (analysis here)
