  1. Just realized if the upper end of these numbers hold up then TFA might make $200 million in two days. That's fucking insane.
  2. Holy shit. $130 million means it made $73 million from Friday business alone. At that point it could do anywhere from $70-80 million on Saturday. I can't even fathom this. I feel bad for any of the would be 2016 blockbusters. Batman vs Superman and Civil War aren't getting anywhere near this.
  3. The audience in my theater had a lot of snickering with Gods of Egypt and Warcraft. The only one that got a positive response was Civil War, and it wasn't hugely so. People sure did fucking lose their shit when the movie started though. Certainly something to be apart of.
  4. I loved it a lot. Not as good as the best of the series (a bit too fanservicy at times, but not too much for me). Colorful and with the same energy as the original, definitely laying the ground for the new trilogy.
  5. I've always wanted to see this in theaters, so I'm super excited. Will probably see a 2D show, though.
  6. OW: $221.7 million DOM: $870 million INT: $1.5 billion $2.37 billion worldwide gross.
  7. That's an awesome number for Creed. It'd be awesome if it managed to get to $30 million for the 3-day. Not that great for The Good Dinosaur, though. Easily on track to have the lowest Pixar opening weekend.
  8. Pretty much animation perfection. I remember seeing this Christmas Day (or maybe it was the day after?) with my family. Loved it then, love it now.
  9. Interstellar's first domestic Tuesday was Veterans Day. Not a huge work holiday but big enough to usually make an impact.
  10. Looks good. It does look a bit "meh" aside from the animation but Pixar trailers usually don't do the film's themselves justice. I thought Inside Out looked a bit odd at first too and that ended up great.
  11. No IMAX plus half of Gravity's enormous 3D share... The Martian wins as far as attendance goes. Not to undermine Gravity's fantastic opening, though. The fall sci-fi trifecta these last few years each had excellent openings.
  12. These things are always so vague they're mostly useless, but it is great to know pre-sells are high.
  13. Can't wait for this. After I read the book my roommates read it and loved it too. If the film is as faithful as it seems to be I can definitely see a big crowd pleaser here.
