I think Sonic 2 presales will point to a lower opening than the first film. No clue how walkups will be compared to the first film (which iirc had very good walkups), but I think the high end here is the first film's OW. I feel like a lot of the novelty is gone, and at least based on what I've seen anecdoctally, the 18-30 year old audience is going to have lower turn out.
The only interesting bit about the Critics Choice awards today is Jane Campion saying something as ridiculously stupid, about Serena and Venus Williams, as Sam Elliot did about Campion, during her acceptance speech.
Sony should've added some fake applause and screaming for the Tobey and Andrew entrance scene (which I think sitcoms used to do for cameo appearences) in the blu-ray. It just does not work without it.
Don't know if this has been mentioned before but Everything Everywhere All at Once taking up the IMAX screen of one of the AMCs here. Is it getting a IMAX release everywhere? Don't think I've heard of a A24 film getting one before.
The one example you give is from before he got Disney brain and became annoying. Everything he's made since has been wack. Dude literally Disneyfied Nazi Germany. His performance in a recent blockbuster film feels like something out of a Disney Channel Original film.
I'm just wondering how someone can get through a 3 hour long movie 23 times in a week. Like, I could probably not watch even my favourite movie of all time more than two times in a week.
Submitting the list I posted here earlier. Sadly did not have the time to fill any gaps in my list (outside of going to the cinemas once every weekend, I have seen only 3 movies I have wanted to watch by myself since college started this semester).
