    Funny how Favreau got his cred by doing independent relationship drama like Swingers & Made. Now he is getting these big budget visual-driven blockbusters (Jungle 2 is in development)

    Blood Wars? I thought the whole purpose of the first 2 movies is for peace between the 2 clans?? I don't mind a fresh face replacing Kate. She is a very appealing actress but I feel she is a Nicole Kidman-lite.

    I think the movie has an exceptional run if it crashes...today. A movie no one expects to do more than $200M yet is approaching $300M milestone is another kind of crazy

    Jungle Book about right but it could surprise with $90M+ opening. The Boss may drop harder, & BvS should be around $11-$12M. Your No 3 & 4 should be flipped.

    After 23M weekend, BvS can add at least $50M more domestically. But yea, it's gonna miss the 1B WW milestone just like MoS missed the $300M dom milestone. That Snyder lucky charm.

    For all the money they make from Superman & Batman movies, I think the studio seems ambivalent about investing in Superhero movies. Paramount had a gold mine with the 1st Iron Man movie why they give up the rights for a franchise? OK, maybe Disney has tons of cash so there... Warner is either in disarray at the executive level or they just want to collect merchandising fees from the franchise.

    With all the merchandising income stream, Warner/DC is fine financially. Plus with such a heavily hyped title, they could have a much better leverage when negotiating TV/Cable/Streaming/foreign rights compared to regular mid-budget movies. All that constitute a major portion of their revenue. I also doubt the production cost is that high even for a big action movie like this

    The trailers don't make much of an impression. I don't know what Universal is thinking. KStew still has her fans you know....

    The drop is rather disheartening but its WW total is more than OK. We are all spoiled by the crazy $1B WW numbers from 2015. That year is some kind of an anomaly for sure. F7's $400M gross from China is inexplicable. The question can BvS WW total exceed this guy's :
