The Hangover 3 is not a flop. Flops don't turn a profit. The Hangover 3 is a big disappointment because of the performance of its predecessors, that's it. And to whoever mentioned that this will hurt Coopeer's image, not only will it not, but one cannot underestimate what these films did for any of the lead's careers. I think the only one coming out of this really unhappy is Todd Phillips because of his ego and the fact that he believes the second was loved by audiences. WB is probably disappointed but the franchise is a giant win financially no matter how you slice it.

THO3 is still running at half THO2.  It's sort of holding it's own at least.  If that pattern holds true it's still looking like a 15-16M weekend which is only a drop in the 60s.

IM3 and STiD still looking good.

STiD is still making more than ST09 after 14 days.

I'm gonna make a WHAT WENT RIGHT thread for all the haters out there. ;)

You'll get a lot of "nothing" replies  :P

I don't consider "The Hangover III" a flop either.  IMO, everything from this point forward after what I and II made is icing on the cake.  Tell me one critic or poster who called "The Hangover" being a Billion Dollar Franchise? With that said it's clear audiences have probably had enough of the series.

That total for IM3 is wrong, should be over 375M already

Agreed. The last legitimate "flop" that opened in theaters was probably Jack the Giant Slayer. Before that, A Good Day to Die Hard. A strong case could be made for Oblivion too, but its overseas gross makes that debatable.

Typo on my part. Fixed. ;)

Yea, I would call "Jack" the flop of the year.  I think overseas saved "Die Hard 5 and Oblivion" from lackluster domestic totals.
