Hey Jb007.. Love your Avatar :).. Would you say better than Iam Legend and

that zombie film with Ving Rames that was so cool. Dawn of the dead or something like that?

Thanks, Supes.  :)

For me, it is almost as good as I Am Legend.

Cool not a big Will Smith Fan. Worked with him in 1997 as an MIB guy(for ny premeir not in the movie

unfortunately) Guy was ahole. Trying  not to stay angry how he treated everyone and a particular

sick fan when cameras werent rolling. People do change , but I have to admit when I saw Iam legend

on bootleg I liked that film. Oh okay... I may see it , but gotta see MOS the third time first. Lol

Was the end satisfying JB and your welcome.  When you got indy as your avatar, you know you got good movie

taste :).. And hes back for Part V soon :)

The ending of WWZ is quite good. I was surprised to see David Morse in a cameo.

If he treated folks as terrible as he treated us underlings doing the gig for MIB actors that didnt show alll these years.. I think

karma is coming to collect.. That After earth is a major flop.  What was David Morse in again?   That name sounds familar. :)

I thought they should have showed more wow factor in the trailers to get more excitement, goign to be interesting

to see how folks dig this.. I know its suppose to be a  huge saga if the first one does well. WWZ is a book saga right?

I'd give it a C+ or B-

You can really tell they had trouble figuring out a way to end the film so they just kind of end it.

There were a few good action sequences but the CGI is bad enough that at no time did I ever feel there was ever really any danger in the movie.  It just felt like people running around with a bunch of video game monsters.

For what it's worth there was a small bit of applause from my audience so at least some of them enjoyed it much more than I did.

I thought the CGI was terrific and the ending was very well done.  I think the ending is apropos.  He figures out what has to be done and he does it.  But that isn't going to solve the problem of the zombies, it just buys us some time.

I liked it quite a bit.  The film starts very quickly and it is one of the best 20-30 minutes of any film in the last few years.  The problem just starts out of nowhere and as people panic and then ultimately turn, there is a real sense of dread.  The scenes in Philly were very well done.

Some of the script was a bit of a mess.  I didn't understand why the Jurusalem people were so ahead of the rest of the world.  As Jerry says to the doctor, "you did all of this based on an email about zombies?"  And even though he gives the explanation as to why he did, it didn't make much sense.  But other than a few small complaints like that, the film worked very well for me.  There was a huge sense of dread and people die, a lot of people die in the film.  It had genuine moments of terror and there were a few good jump moments.  Another small complaint I have is that there should have been a bit more gore. If The Walking Dead can show what they show, then surely there could have been a few zombie splatters and still have the pg-13 rating.

I hope there is a sequel.

I enjoyed it. It's completely understandable that with a reported $200M+ budget they didn't risk having too many gore shots as an R rating could have really put this in financial trouble. If you compare it to I am Legend then I think 'Z' is the better film. The effects are much better although the zombies movements look a bit fake sometimes, the action sequences and explosions all look great.

As previously mentioned by someone, the opening is great. The film does exactly what you want it to do and gets straight into a massive scale action scene to introduce us to the zombies. In my opinion it's second only to the Dawn of the Dead remake for zombie movie opening sequences, and it's definitely one of the best horror openings in a while. The film works best when it's action is on a large scale, and for the most part the action sequences are huge events with thousands of zombies. If you're going to make a $200M zombie film then it makes sense to have some epic action scenes, which is what makes the ending (which is in a more confined setting) slightly disappointing. A confined setting wouldn't have been a problem if the end would have been more tense and scary but unfortunately some of the zombies reduced the audience to laughter. Terra-dactyl sounds and teeth chattering were among the zombie actions that had the audience chuckling rather than covering their eyes. The ending also does feel a bit tagged on to give the film a sense of closure rather than a more natural and satisfying end which i would have hoped for.

Pitt is likable and believable in his role as the devoted father/globetrotting U.N specialist. A less capable actor could have fallen into the background, overshadowed by the zombies and the action scenes but Pitt remains the focal point and I'd like to see him do more of these large scale action hero roles.

Overall the lack of gore didn't put me off this film as there were enough jump moments to keep the average horror fan interested and the lack of gore will also help the film appeal more to action fans who should find plenty of sequences in the film to enjoy. Definitely recommended and hopefully it will do enough business to get a sequel.

The original final act revolved around a major battle in Russia (and it was mostly filmed too), but it didn't work well for the studio so they did a third-act rewrite and reshoots and that's where the final act in Wales came from.

It's funny, the trailer mentions him going to Russia, but in the final film he says "India".  I wondered what happened to Russia.

Good movie. The critics were wrong though, I think it was noticeable that the ending had changed. I found it strange how they showed off all the goods in the first 2 thirds of the film leaving the climax to be less satisfying but that still didn't stop this from being an epic, brainy and suprisibgly intense experience. It had enough originality and entertaining scenes to forgive it from having absolutely no relevance to the book what so ever. This film had more in common with the book 'Monster Planet' than 'WWZ'B+

Good flick, lots of very intense scenes. Some woman next to me was covering her eyes all like "ohmygodohmygodohmygod" through some of it. I did like the scenes at the research facility at the end, but they did feel like it was building up to something bigger that never came. So sorta a anticlimax.

I liked it quite a lot. I can't say I LOVED it, but it was a good, intense, and emotional ride. Very thrilling, and it had a true sense of death and destruction (as opposed to something like Avengers or MOS). Pitt was good. I didn't mind the ending at all.
