People will doubt Katniss again, and they'll fail. Just wait for CF. Aside from the goodwill of THG and the massive explosion in book sales across the world (particularly in Europe) after the release of the first film, just LOOK at all the anti-government protests going on around the world right now (Turkey, Brazil, etc), it'll appeal very strongly to them. 

 

Katniss is a hero for our time. Fuck the haters and doubters. Once CF is released and shocks them with its performance, they deserve to be in a headlock with an apple in their mouths waiting for Katniss to hit it with her arrow.

Funny, I have the exact same theory about Catching Fire.

I really think it could struck a chord. Or not.

 

People don't realise how much the tone from THG to CF is totally changing. This is not another year at Hogwarts of Bella having her period or supehero movie sequel with a new vilain.

People could reject the film and the story because of that though.

 

We ll see but I find CF premise incredibly powerful on a lot of levels.

 

And if there is one actress to pull off the modern Joan of Arc thing, well ... her first act of rebellion was easily the most powerful scene of THG.
